It is important that boarders at the hostel do not merely receive food and shelter, but also a comprehensive pastoral care programs that can develop their total well-being. We are well aware that our boarders, being far from parental authority and care, require nurturing, a routine and a sense of belonging in order to be motivated and focused in their studies.
Most importantly, the boarders themselves must abide by the hostel rules and guidelines set, help one another, study hard, and at all times behave with due consideration and respect for their fellow boarders, teacher mentors and staff of the hostel.
On behalf of the Hostel Management Committee, I would like to extend a warm welcome to all boarders and hope you will actively participate in the hostel activities that have been lined up for you so that you will be able to establish close ties with fellow students from other countries and Singapore.
Finally I strongly urge all of you to work closely together to make living in the hostel an enjoyable and heart-warming experience.
